Pres. Zuma appoints Commissioners and Chairperson for the CGE PDF Print E-mail

The President of the Republic of South Africa, Honourable Jacob Zuma has appointed new Commissioners and Chairperson for the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE). Nine Commissioners have been appointed for this term with Mr. Mfanozelwe Shozi being appointed the new Chairperson. Other Commissioners appointed by Pres. Zuma are: Ms Lulama Nare, Ms Sylvia Desiree Stevens – Maziya, Ms Janine Hicks, Ms Ndileka Eumera Portia Loyilane, Mr Wallace Amos Mgoqi, Ms Nondumiso Maphazi Ranuga, Ms Thoko Mpumlwana and Prof Amanda Gouws. The CGE welcomes these appointments with the firm belief that they will help advance the mandate of the institution. With these appointments, we are hopeful that this will contribute to the attainment of the Commission’s goals of creating a society free from gender oppression and inequality.
